Our new Kiyana macramé bags have been hand woven by incredibly talented artisans in India.
For this shopper style bag, we have used recycled nylon cord rather than traditional jute as this is softer for the artisans to make each and every knot detail. Working with an amazing co-op close to Delhi where the predominantly female weavers can continue to work whilst raising their families, we can ensure that all of the artisans we work with have a safe working environment, that they are treated with respect and are paid a fair wage for their incredible craftsmanship. As each piece is handmade, the sizes may vary slightly.
Using the softer nylon cord also makes it easier to fold this macrame shopper to give you the prettiest re-usable bag for your shopping.
