Our favorite travel ort container/bag. When unclipped these leather bags can stand up like a small structured bucket to place your little thread clippings in, and when clipped, they fold down almost flat. 

In the world of needlework, an "ort container" (or "ort jar") is a container, often a jar or box, used to store leftover or small pieces of thread, floss, or other embroidery materials, often referred to as "orts".

(No word on when or why stitchers repurposed it for leftover thread, but some say in the stitching world that the word 'ort' is actually an acronym for "old ratty threads" or "odd random threads" or similar variations.)
